John Dury

John is the President of Sparta Metal Processing and a Partner at Acuity Group. He is the primary executive leader at Sparta, driving the organization’s strategic direction, operational excellence, and long-term growth. John is responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall vision and business strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and positioning the organization for sustainable competitive advantage in a dynamic industrial landscape.

Prior to joining SMP, he worked for two years at Sumco Group (An AG Company). While at Sumco, he led business development and procurement efforts within the commercial department. John also spent eight years with the metal reclamation company Versatile Processing Group (VPG). During his tenure at VPG, he managed global sourcing efforts for utility, industrial, and post-consumer market segments.

John earned his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Indianapolis, where he was a member of both the baseball and football teams. He currently resides in the Indianapolis area with his wife and four daughters.
